James C. Cleland, MBChB FRACP

James is a New Zealander who completed primary medical qualification in 1995. He traveled to the US in 1998 where he completed his advanced specialist training in 2002 at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.
 

After completing further fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular disease at the same institution, he was admitted to the faculty of Neurology at the University of Rochester as Assistant Professor in 2004.
 

He has been in independent practice since that time as a General Adult Neurologist with subspecialty interest in neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine, and holds American Board certification in Neurology and also in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He returned to New Zealand in late 2006 and has been employed at Waikato Hospital as a Specialist Neurologist since early 2007.
 

James maintains an adjunct faculty appointment with the University of Rochester and has an active research interest in muscle ion channel disorders, collaborating with an international consortium. He is a reviewer for the peer-reviewed journal, Muscle and Nerve, the main research publication for electrodiagnostic medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

James has completed close to 2000 electrodiagnostic consultations, and is happy to provide a full range of electrodiagnostic services.

 

 Allison R. King, MD.

 
Allison is a native of Albany, NY, where she completed her undergraduate and primary medical qualification. Having completed Neurology advanced training at the University of Rochester then fellowships in Paediatric Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, she was employed as faculty in the Department of Neurology in early 2004. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.
 
 
Allison moved to New Zealand in late 2006 and has been employed at Waikato Hospital since mid-2007. Although she has had a primary focus in Adult Neurology since being in New Zealand, she plans to expand her interest in child and adolescent neurology once she achieves full accredication with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
 
 
Allison has an interest in child and adolescent Neurology, specifically headache disorders, Tourette’s syndrome, attention deficit disorders, and epilepsy.
